Location: Dandelion Gallery and Studio, Waukegan, IL

Employment Dates: June 26, 2025 – August 17, 2025
(Approximately 20–25 total hours per month)

Compensation: $12.50 per hour (paid bi-weekly)

Eligibility: Applicants must be high school students (ages 14–18) and Illinois residents. Must be available part-time for 8-10 weeks to complete program.

Position Overview

Selected interns will:

• Assist with community mural touch-ups and public art beautification projects.

• Help plan, organize, and participate in community festivals and arts events.

• Learn how to support daily gallery operations, including customer service, art handling, and inventory.

• Receive training in art sales techniques for both e-commerce platforms and in-person sales.

• Help with marketing efforts, including social media promotions, newsletters, and flyers.

• Assist in the preparation, installation, and showcasing of a professional art exhibition.

• Participate in professional development workshops focused on artistic, administrative, and career-readiness skills.

• Provide positive experiences and mentorship in the arts.

• Develop career skills in art business operations, marketing, and event planning.

• Foster stronger community connections through creative projects.

• Deepen understanding of the value of art in public and personal life.
