My work is about the perception of realism and abstraction. I start with close-up photos of flowers. I paint them in a Batik, an Indo-Asain resist process. Using this process every painting is highly planned…but the reaction of wax and dye can not be predicted. So I can hope for the ““Happy Accident”. Which translate to “How do I fix this”…”Cool…it worked!” Or “Schnibers…How do I outdo it next painting?”
